Our German leather suite

We bought our leather suite in Koblenz, Germany in 1988 and it consisted of 3 pieces plus a large arm chair.  On returning to UK we couldn’t accommodate all 3 pieces and used just the corner and long piece.  Ever since buying it we have loved it. It is made of soft aniline leather and we can both stretch out together with our feet up. In about 2005 we had 2 panels in the seat replaced but when more sections wore through in 2010 we looked at replacement settees but could not find anything as comfortable as our beloved German suite. I tried sticking pieces on myself but it began to look very shabby and it was badly faded.  Then we came upon an advert for the Leather Surgeons right here in our own village of Wargrave.  A telephone call soon brought Barry Raven to see if he could help us. It was soon obvious that he could and after we negotiated a good price he took it away.

Well, on return it looked like new.  The tears, worn pieces and cigarette burn had been repaired and the colour restored to almost like the original.  My wife and I were very pleased and delighted that we had turned to The Leather Surgeons rather than buying new.

Lovely letter from our clients… We were glad to help!

There was some re-upholstery and repair involved as well as some dyeing, but the finish is mainly achieved by applying The Leather Surgeons Protective Wax. See full description of the product in the store!
