Marcel Breuer Wassily chair restoration and repair. The Wassily Chair was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925-1926 at the Bauhaus. We can repair and restore these chairs, or give them a bit of a change.
The iconic Modernist chair is built from bent chromed steel and leather slings and strips the traditional club chair down to it’s most basic lines.
We can replace the slings to these chairs with exact copies of the originals, or with something a little out of the ordinary…
We can also carry out repairs and maintenance to keep these chairs at their best.
These chairs have had the original black leather replaced with a deep brown leather and the stitching is a contrasting ivory.

Scratches repaired with a colour matched finish
We can colour match to almost any finish. This chair, bought from the Conran shop, is a real statement piece. It was accidently damaged and as you can see had some quite deep scratches in the leather. We have repaired these scratches and then refinished the leather to match the original colour and gloss level.
