Wassily Chair repair and restoration. The Wassily chair was designed by Marcel Breuer at the Bauhaus in 1925-1926. It is constructed of bent chromed steel and leather slings and the Modernist design reduces the traditional club chair to it’s most elemental lines.
We can repair existing slings or manufacture new leather slings to match the original. We can also replace the slings with something a little different, or we can create an absolute statement piece with speciality leathers or very bold colours!

These chairs, originally black, have had the slings replaced with a deep brown leather. The stitching has then been completed in an ivory thread .
A Funky Wassily chair!
We created this chair for a Mid Century Modern show at Goldsmiths. Leather can be dyed to a variety of colours or speciality leathers can be used.
Leather Scratches repaired
This statement piece was bought from the Conran Shop. A visitor accidentally damaged the chair and we have repaired and refinished to the original colour and gloss level.
