We supply replacement straps for Barcelona Chairs
The Barcelona Chair was originally designed by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe and is a furniture icon, but it has one weakness… The straps. The original leather stretches, perishes and eventually breaks and needs to be replaced.
We manufacture new straps for these wonderful chairs in any colour and any length to fit your specific piece. The straps are either screwed, or more commonly riveted to the frame easily. We supply a riveting kit with full instructions if required.

How to Measure Existing Straps
- Place the start of a dressmaking tape on the rivets at one end of the strap.
2. Wrap the tape around the existing strap and pull it taught.
3. Measure to the end of the existing strap – this one is 26 inches or 66cm.
